The Merri Paddle is an alliance of a number of community groups, including Friends of Merri Creek, ACF NXNW, Fawkner and Reservoir Association, committed to the restoration of the Merri Creek to a quality that would encourage the return of the platypus. Our work involves monitoring water quality and habitat, coalition-building with other urban waterway groups and advocacy for the needs of the animal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Merri Creek is too dirty! Industrial contamination has destroyed the habitat for the species in the creek, and the ecosystem can\u2019t sustain it.
