Location: Edwardes Lake (Reservoir) Commitment level: One-off/Ongoing In person or online? It depends!

Friends of Edwardes Lake (FoEL) is a subgroup of Friends of Merri Creek. We are a local environmental group, formed in 2020, who preserve, restore and care for the ecosystems of Edwardes Lake, Edgars Creek wetlands and the Upper Edgars Creek (north of Henty Street).

We want someone…

who loves nature and is willing to help us protect the habitat of urban wildlife. There are lots of things to do, and if you have mobility or accessibility needs let us know. We just want you to be a nature lover, passionate and resilient! We’ll teach you everything you need to know 😉

Come to one of our events…

listed on our website or social media. No skills or equipment required; we provide everything that you need. You get to spend time with like-minded people while protecting our waterway.

Why do we want YOU?

Because we have 4 kms of waterway to restore and protect – we need all the help we can get.

We meet up…

on Monday evenings and one Sunday a month around Edwardes Lake.

Our number one desire…

is to create habitat for urban wildlife.

Our date ideas include…

planting, weeding, litter collection, water testing and biodiversity surveying.

If we were an animal…

we would be the swan.
