Our #1 hobby is…
singing.
Climate Choir Melbourne is a group of singers who are deeply concerned about climate change. We want the government, organisations, and individuals to take emergency action to combat the impending environmental disaster, and singing is our way of campaigning for this cause. We hold no political allegiance.
We are an independent group with a leadership team of 6 volunteers including our singing leaders. We aim to enliven events organised by activist groups with our musical contributions. We also seek to raise awareness of the need for climate action by holding our own pop-up choir events around Melbourne. Our singing raises the spirits, raises a smile, and re-energises people to keep on campaigning.
simultaneously delight, stimulate and confront people through music to effect change.

you want to sing to express and act on your concern about the climate and biodiversity crises. Previous experience in group singing is an advantage, but we don’t audition – everyone is welcome!
to help ensure we have enough volunteers in the choir to be able to accept invitations from other groups, to enable us to make a louder and fuller sound when we sing and to ensure we have people to engage with the public and hand out flyers.
our 2-hour rehearsals every 2 months, or at an event!
